Tanya Tucker

Long before Tanya Tucker stepped onto Billy Bob's stage when it opened in 1981, she had a history with the partnership at Billy Bob's Texas. Chief Operating Officer (and my hubby) Billy Minick was a rodeo producer and in the early 1970's he hired a teenage Tanya to perform at Fort Worth Stock Show and other rodeos. My friendship with Tanya includes late night girl talk and a mutual love of horses and cutting horse competitions - but Tanya is lot better than me in that sport. The friendship has continued, as has Tanya's career, for more than 3 decades. At just 13, Tanya Tucker took the music industry by storm, not just country music, all genres were paying attention to the little girl with the big voice when she belted out "Delta Dawn". In 1974 she was the first "country" artist featured on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine, and started a big controversy when the youngster recorded "Would You Lay With Me". Tanya is invincible. Her energetic performance is as dynamic today as it was 30 years ago. She enjoys performing on stage at Billy Bob's, and it shows! Tanya Tucker's "Live at Billy Bob's" CD is filled with her volume of hits, every one at least a top 10 and 7 #1 songs. From the time Tanya strutted on stage and opened the show with "Some Kind of Trouble" - to her signature rendition of "San Antonio Stroll" - through the audiences standing ovation for "Delta Dawn" - you know she loves what she does! You get a front row seat to the sassy, struttin', age-defying, entertainer, Tanya Tucker, Country Music's reigning Queen! You'll love her as much as we do.
